Dallas police shutting down hundreds of Flock cameras after funding pause

Dallas police will shut down 321 Flock license plate readers by Sept. 15 after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered state agencies to halt funding for the roadside camera network. The department said Tuesday it is canceling the automated cameras supported by state funds, affecting more than 300 locations.
