New DDRop Attack Breaks Intel TDX and AMD SEV-SNP Confidential Computing

Researchers disclosed DDRop, a hardware attack breaking memory protection in Intel TDX and AMD SEV-SNP confidential computing. By silently dropping memory writes, it forces processors to read old encrypted data. The attack requires an attacker controlling server software and brief physical access to insert a small circuit.
