Researcher Chaotic Eclipse released a proof-of-concept for a new Microsoft Defender zero-day, codenamed ShieldCrash, assessed as a patch bypass for CVE-2026-69414 (CVSS 7.8), also called ShieldBreak, reported last month. Chaotic Eclipse stated Microsoft failed to properly patch the earlier flaw.
