On July 22, 2026, an attacker drained $24.15 million in USDC from the AFX Trade Bridge custody bridge on Arbitrum. Security firm Blockaid detected the breach at 21:30 UTC. The attacker swapped the stolen USDC for 12,467 ETH. The exploit specifically targeted an AFX Trade bridge, sending shockwaves through the DeFi space.
