Boeing nabs $20B contract for Navy's futuristic fighter

Boeing won a $20 billion contract to build the U.S. Navy's next fighter aircraft, the F/A-XX, succeeding the Super Hornet fleet. The Pentagon announced the deal Tuesday. Boeing bested Northrop Grumman; Lockheed Martin was previously eliminated. The sixth-generation aircraft will complement the F-35, and Boeing is also building the Air Force's F-47.
