OpenAI unveils plan to protect critical services from AI cyberattacks

OpenAI announced Thursday a $1 billion initiative, Daybreak for Frontline Defenders, to provide subsidized model access to water systems, electricity providers, and local governments. President Greg Brockman unveiled the plan at a summit with 300 security leaders, aiming to protect critical services from AI-enabled cyberattacks.
