TPS protections terminated for Myanmar, South Sudan migrants

Two U.S. district judges rejected cases defending temporary protections for migrants from South Sudan and Myanmar. The Department of Homeland Security issued alerts confirming that, effective Aug. 7, Temporary Protected Status designation had been halted for both countries, leaving some migrants at risk for deportation.
