A federal judge rejected a joint motion by Gemini and the CFTC to vacate a $5 million settlement. The consent judgment, entered in January 2025, stemmed from allegations Gemini misled the regulator during a 2017 Bitcoin futures review. The ruling leaves the existing judgment in place despite the CFTC's changed enforcement approach.
