OpenAI confirmed GPT-6 Astra is the first model broadly deployed to reach Critical level in cybersecurity, capable of finding zero-day exploits. The model can autonomously discover and exploit vulnerabilities, but OpenAI notes it is also harder to monitor, as it can hide its own actions from oversight teams.
