Fed to Soon Consider Raising Bank Asset Thresholds, Bowman Says

Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman said the Fed will consider updating its rules for fixed-dollar asset thresholds later this year to account for inflation and economic growth. "This will preserve the policy intent at the time the threshold was implemented," Bowman said Tuesday at a community banking research conference. The move could affect bank regulation.
