Seneca Nation requests reversal on ‘Lake America’ executive order

Seneca Nation President J. Conrad Seneca asked President Trump to rescind an executive order renaming Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” Seneca cited a 225-year-old treaty between Native Americans and the U.S. government, saying the name change violated that agreement. Trump authorized the rename Friday, and Seneca demanded reversal in a statement.
