Monty Roberts, the internationally acclaimed horseman who revolutionized horse training through trust and non-verbal communication, has died at age 91. Roberts defied conventional breaking methods, developing a gentler approach based on horses' natural language. He spoke with Fresh Air in 1997 about his philosophy and techniques.
