SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom warned that Ethereum proposal EIP-8363 could hurt DeFi and discourage institutional ETH ownership by reducing validator rewards. The proposal would burn a portion of validator rewards from assigned duties. Despite the controversy, Messari analysts believe EIP-8363 has a low probability of being adopted.
