Hegseth upgrades medals of three Marines who survived Afghanistan attack five years ago

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth upgraded the valor awards of three Marines who guarded the Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport when a bomb exploded during U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan five years ago. The Marines honored were Gunnery Sgt. Jonathan Eby, Cpl. Michael Gretzon, and Lance Cpl. Jordan Houston.
