Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) blocked an attempt by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) to prohibit President Trump from demolishing the Kennedy Center. Merkley's bill, supported by Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, failed under unanimous consent, which would have bypassed a floor vote absent objection.
