Dennis Hastert, the longest-serving Republican House speaker who later admitted to sexually abusing teenage boys, died Saturday at 84. He died at his home in Plano, Illinois, under hospice care. Hastert pleaded guilty to evading banking laws in 2015, was sentenced to 15 months in prison, and served 13 months. He was the highest-ranking U.S. official to serve federal prison time.
