Democratic senators demand Israeli government halt West Bank settlement expansion plans

A group of Democratic senators, led by Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego, sent a Friday letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urging him to reverse a planned housing development in the West Bank. Over a dozen lawmakers expressed concerns that the project would effectively divide the Palestinian territory.
