Walmart adding Apple Pay, other tap-to-pay options

Walmart announced Friday that some U.S. stores and Sam's Club locations will add tap-to-pay options beginning Monday, with a full rollout to all stores and clubs by year-end. Fuel stations are expected to have it by mid-2027. The company said it wants to give customers more choice, moving beyond its Walmart Pay QR code system.
