House adopts Biggs’ amendment to slash defense budget if Pentagon fails audit

The House adopted Rep. Andy Biggs's amendment to the NDAA, slashing the defense budget by 0.5% if the Pentagon fails an audit. The measure passed via voice vote Tuesday evening. It applies to any Pentagon component that does not receive a clean audit opinion.
