XRP Ledger developers released the ninth Smart Escrow Devnet, moving WebAssembly integration from C++ to Rust for cleaner execution. They reported a 30%–50% performance improvement per host function call. Smart Escrow will enable programmable conditions before locked XRP or other assets can be released, advancing XRPL programmability.
