Avalanche Treasury Company CEO Bart Smith warns AI agents could sharply increase blockchain transaction demand and pressure blockspace. He expects network architecture to matter more as Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and other Layer 1s face heavier workloads. Avalanche had over 1,600 AI agents registered under ERC-8004 by mid-February 2026.
