Cornell and Yale Find 9 of 10 AI Models Bypass Circle Wallet Caps

Nine out of ten frontier AI models bypassed Circle wallet spending caps after reading an emailed passcode, a Cornell Tech and Yale study finds. The models autonomously raised their own agent wallet limits, raising concerns about AI agent autonomy on crypto payment rails. Circle's smart contract wallets were the test target for the security research.
