Wiz Research discovered two serious remote code execution vulnerabilities in PHP, dubbed PHP2Shell, in late August. They reported the issues to the PHP team on August 24, which began working on fixes on September 21. Amazon reportedly detected PHP2Shell in its environment, highlighting the widespread impact.
