Poll: Americans see rule of law declining in U.S.

A Gallup and Kettering Foundation survey of over 23,000 U.S. adults finds 78% say officials must always follow laws, but only 28% trust leaders will be held accountable. Throwing out incumbents was the top improvement step at 17%. Older Republicans show significantly less trust in election officials than a year ago.
