ICE says all its offices will have body cams in 60 days

Half of all ICE field offices now have body cameras for agents, with the rest expected within 60 days, according to DHS. Pressure for cameras accelerated after fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis and two more in Texas and Maine. Congress budgeted $20 million for DHS in April. ICE first tested the technology in 2021 and deployed 1,600 cameras by 2024.
