Ripple President Reveals Plan To Let Payment Customers Borrow Against XRP

Ripple President Monica Long said at XRP Seoul on October 3 that the company plans to let payment customers use XRP held in lending pools as collateral for short-term financing. Eligible institutions could fund payment obligations without selling their underlying XRP. Ripple has reportedly begun testing the concept, with broader deployment targeted for 2027.
