Sanford backs Norman over Graham in South Carolina Senate runoff: ‘Stakes are simply too high’

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford endorsed GOP Rep. Ralph Norman in the Senate runoff for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham's seat. Sanford, who rarely makes endorsements, said in a statement that the stakes are too high and he felt compelled to back Norman. The race will determine who serves a full term.
