Fake Apple Support AI Calls Target Stolen-Device Owners for Passcodes and 2FA Codes

Researchers at SOCRadar Threat Research Unit disclosed a phishing-as-a-service platform called AnonyMousKIT that uses rented AI voice agents to impersonate Apple Support. The agents call theft victims, posing as support staff, to request device passcodes and 2FA codes, aiming to strip Apple's Activation Lock from stolen devices. The platform is credit-metered and drives lures across various channels.
