Major Banks Sign on as DTCC Launches Tokenized Securities Service

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation launched a blockchain tokenization service connecting Wall Street’s traditional securities infrastructure with digital markets. This opens a new channel for assets held within a custody operation overseeing more than $114 trillion in securities, marking a major entry of traditional finance into tokenization.
