OpenAI and Patch the Planet released two plugins, patching-bugs and regression-hunt, that let engineers delegate patch development and regression checks to AI agents. The regression-hunt plugin produces 25% fewer false positives than a baseline Codex agent. The plugins stem from co-authoring hundreds of security patches for open-source projects like Scapy.
