Google releases a new local-first Granola competitor

Google launched AI Edge Foresight, an offline meeting note-taker that transcribes conversations, generates notes, and answers questions entirely on-device. The app directly competes with Granola, positioning on-device AI as a privacy-focused alternative to cloud-based assistants. Google said the tool works without an internet connection, keeping all meeting data local to the user's device.
