Update now: 7-Zip fixes RCE flaw exploitable with malicious archives

7-Zip version 26.02 was released to fix a remote code execution vulnerability exploitable via malicious compressed files. Attackers could execute code by convincing users to open specially crafted archives. Users are urged to update immediately to patch the flaw, which affects all prior versions. No active exploits have been reported yet, but the severity is rated high.
