Inside a group's push for whites-only communities "heritage communities"

A white separatist group named Return to the Land (RTTL) is openly planning a network of whites-only settlements across rural America operating as private clubs. The group established a 160-acre community near Ravenden, Arkansas in late 2023. State and federal authorities have largely watched from the sidelines as RTTL unveiled plans challenging the Fair Housing Act of 1968. The communities are launching amid reduced civil rights prosecution by the Trump administration.
