737 Chrome VPN Extensions Caught Routing Traffic Through Proxies. Check If You Have One

A set of 737 free VPN and proxy extensions, published across at least 40 Chrome Web Store developer accounts, have been found to target Russian-speaking users. The extensions aim to intercept browser traffic and route it through a proxy infrastructure. They have racked up 75,486 installs, with 274 identified as impersonating 66 entities.
