European Banking Authority Puts USDC Under Significant-Token Supervision

The European Banking Authority designated USDC as the EU's first significant e-money token under MiCA on October 14. Starting November 12, the EBA will directly supervise reserves, liquidity, and redemption planning, while France's ACPR oversees governance and personnel. Circle's European entity faces this new supervisory layer.
