Mystery mailings put Congress and election offices on edge

Suspicious letters containing white powder have targeted over three dozen congressional offices and election offices in at least 32 states, forcing evacuations and disrupting work weeks before the midterms. The FBI and U.S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating, with some letters containing unknown substances. Rep. Adam Smith's office confirmed receiving one such letter.
