BNB Chain Plans New Layer 1 Blockchain With No Separate Token

BNB Chain plans a new Layer 1 network running alongside BNB Smart Chain without a separate token. The network targets 200-millisecond blocks and transaction pre-confirmation in about 20 milliseconds. An internal devnet is running, with a public testnet planned for late 2026 and mainnet in early 2027. BNB remains the gas token.
