Researcher Chaotic Eclipse released a proof-of-concept for a Microsoft Defender zero-day called ShieldBreak, demonstrating a patch bypass for CVE-2026-50656 (CVSS 7.8), known as RoguePlanet. The vulnerability allows SYSTEM access, posing a critical risk to Windows systems. Microsoft has not yet issued a fix.
