Crypto: BNB Chain Gears Up to Launch a New Blockchain in 2027

BNB Chain plans a new Layer 1 blockchain for early 2027, targeting over 100,000 transactions per second and 200-millisecond block times. The project, provisionally called New L1, will run alongside BNB Smart Chain without creating a new token. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao supports the approach, with initial experiments underway.
