President Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state visit on Wednesday, greeting him at Joint Base Andrews with a red carpet, an honor not granted to another world leader besides a pope in six decades. The administration touted that a U.S.-China trade truce, set to expire in November, will be extended by two months.
