The Zcash community approved roughly $8.39 million in retroactive grants, a decision aimed at compensating the developers and security researchers who scrambled to fix a critical vulnerability in the network's Orchard protocol. Zcash co-founder Zooko Wilcox confirmed the outcome of the vote, which covered 17 separate funding proposals tied to the bug fix.
