Cyprus Targets On-Site Audits for Crypto Custodians

Cyprus's Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) will launch on-site inspections and desk-based reviews of authorized crypto asset service providers starting in the second half of 2026 through mid-2027. The audits target custody and infrastructure risks, aiming to enhance regulatory oversight of crypto custodians and ensure compliance with local laws.
