A small team of researchers used Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 to chain three bugs and break into OpenAI's private code repository in under 72 hours. OpenAI paid $6,500 for the white-hat hack, which exploited a vulnerable 'libheif' library inside Discourse forum software, enabling remote code execution.
