Cardano’s programmable tokens go live with issuer-set KYC and freeze rules

Cardano's CIP-0113 programmable token standard went live on mainnet, allowing issuers to attach KYC checks, transfer limits, and freeze-or-seizure rules directly to their assets. The proposal was merged on Sept. 29 after 90 commits, with the Cardano Foundation confirming the rollout, enabling compliance tooling for tokenized finance on the network.
