BTCPay warned users running LND to update immediately or take servers offline after attackers stole credentials that can control Lightning wallets and move funds. The exploit targets Bitcoin infrastructure, draining merchant Lightning nodes and highlighting the need for robust security protocols in decentralized financial systems.
