A custom Ethereum module for managing leveraged positions on Aave V3 was exploited on October 1, 2026, draining over $300,000 from two Safe wallets. Security researchers call it one of the most technically precise Aave V3 exploits this year. Aave's core lending contracts were not affected by the breach.
