Vance, Zeldin ask for EPA probe into East Palestine train derailment response

Vice President JD Vance and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin requested an independent EPA investigation into the government's response to the 2023 East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment, which spilled toxic chemicals into the town. The joint letter was sent Friday to the EPA's acting inspector general.
