The average price of a litre of diesel at UK pumps has hit an all-time high of 198.32p, according to the RAC motoring body. The record price, reported on Sunday, adds to cost-of-living pressures for drivers and businesses. The RAC has previously called for fuel duty cuts to ease the burden on motorists.
