In a 1988 Meet the Press interview, former President Richard Nixon reflected on Watergate and his legacy. Nixon resigned on August 9, 1976, after five men were arrested for breaking into the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. in June of that year.
