Fed watchdog finds no criminality in renovation probe

The Federal Reserve's internal watchdog found no criminal wrongdoing by former Chair Jerome Powell or other officials in the central bank's multimillion-dollar renovation project. Inspector General Michael Horowitz's Wednesday report acknowledged the Fed 'has not effectively executed' the construction management risk contract, but cleared officials of criminal law violations.
